Google Ads MCP: connect Google Ads to Claude and ChatGPT
Ask Claude or ChatGPT which campaigns cost the most last week, which keywords take clicks without converting or how this month compares with the last. The answer comes straight from Google Ads. No report editor, no CSV.
With Deployed OS everyone connects with their own Google account. The AI sees the Ads accounts that person reaches, manager accounts included, and it only reads: nothing is created, changed or paused.

“Compare clicks, cost and conversions for September and August, per campaign.”
“Which accounts do I have access to under our manager account?”
“Show daily cost and conversions for the Autumn Sale campaign since 1 September.”
“Which ad groups have the lowest click-through rate this month?”
What the Google Ads MCP connector does today
- Reads
google_ads_list_accountsList the Google Ads accounts you reach, with id, name, currency and time zone, and up to 100 client accounts under a manager account.
- Reads
google_ads_searchRun one Google Ads query on one account, such as clicks, cost and conversions per campaign over the last 30 days, returning at most 200 rows.
- Reads
google_ads_search_fieldsLook up the exact field names a query can use (cost, campaign status, conversions) and whether each can be selected, filtered and sorted.

Who sees what
- Read-only
- The connector reads accounts, campaigns, ad groups and keywords with their clicks, impressions, cost and conversions, up to 200 rows per query. It cannot create, change or pause anything in Google Ads.
- Each person’s own rights
- Everyone connects their own Google account, so the AI reaches the Ads accounts that person reaches. No access to the Norway account in Google Ads means no Norway figures through the AI either.
- You choose who gets it
- Admins decide which groups at the company can use the Google Ads connector at all. Everyone else never sees it.
- Every call logged
- Who asked, which connector, when. Deployed OS shows reads per connector and per person, and the log can be exported.
Set up the Google Ads connector in three steps
Google Ads’s own MCP server or Deployed OS?
Google publishes an open-source Google Ads MCP server. You run it yourself with Python, with your own OAuth credentials and, if your setup needs one, a developer token. It lists accounts and runs Google Ads queries, which suits a developer or one analyst well.
Deployed OS adds what a company needs around it. One Google app for Ads, Analytics, Drive, Gmail and Calendar, each person’s own login, admins choosing which groups get what, and a log of every call. The same connection works in Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot, next to your company’s skills and guardrails.
Google Ads MCP: common questions
Yes. Google publishes an open-source Google Ads MCP server that you run yourself with Python and your own Google Ads API credentials. It suits a developer or one analyst. Deployed OS gives the whole company one connection, with each person’s own login, access per group and a log of every call.
No. The connector only reads. Nothing is created, changed or paused in Google Ads. If you want it to do more, we can extend it for you.
Yes. Deployed OS is your company’s own MCP, so you connect Google Ads to Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot in one go. People keep the assistant they prefer.
Two things. A new Cloud project reaches Google’s test accounts only, so the admin applies for Explorer access on the project’s Google Ads API page. And everyone who connects Google Ads needs 2-Step Verification on their Google account.
Yes, Google sets one. At Explorer access the whole company shares 2,880 Ads API operations a day, and one query is one operation. So the AI asks for what it needs in one query rather than in many small ones.
