Google Slides MCP: connect Google Slides to Claude and ChatGPT
Ask Claude or ChatGPT what the Q3 board deck says about hiring, what the speaker notes on slide 7 of the Fjällgren Bygg pitch tell you to say, or to add a slide with next quarter’s priorities to the end of the sales kick-off deck. The AI reads Google Slides slide by slide and links you to the exact slide.
With Deployed OS everyone connects their own Google account. The AI reads only the presentations that person can already open. With Edit access it can create a presentation in their own Drive or add a slide at the end of one, after they confirm the content. Existing slides are never changed.

What your team can do with Google Slides in Claude and ChatGPT
Know the pitch before the meeting
The board deck in ten lines
Add the slide, keep the deck
A new deck for the steering group
Ask it like this
“Find the Q3 board deck and summarise each slide in one line, with a link to each.”
“What do the speaker notes on slide 7 of the Fjällgren Bygg pitch say?”
“Which slides in the investor update have tables, and what do they show?”
“Add a slide at the end of the sales kick-off deck: title “Q4 priorities”, three bullets from our chat, and speaker notes for the presenter.”
“Create a presentation called “Steering group, 14 October”.”
“Which presentations have “onboarding” in the name, and who owns them?”
What the Google Slides MCP connector does today
- Reads
slides_search_presentationsFinds the Google Slides presentations you can open by words in their names. Returns name, owner, last change and link for each.
- Reads
slides_read_presentationReads a presentation you can open, slide by slide: title, text, tables, speaker notes and how many images, with a link to each slide. At most 100 slides.
- Writes
slides_create_presentationCreates a presentation in your own Drive with a title, once you have confirmed it. It is shared with nobody.
- Writes
slides_add_slideAdds a slide at the end of a presentation you may edit, with a title and, if you want, text and speaker notes, once you have confirmed the content. Nothing else changes and nobody is notified.
Need it to do more? We extend connectors for the companies that use them.
Who sees what
- Reads, plus new slides
- The connector finds presentations by name and reads them slide by slide, with titles, text, tables and speaker notes. With Edit it can create a presentation or add a slide at the end. It cannot edit or delete existing slides, add images or share anything.
- Each person’s own rights
- Everyone connects their own Google account, so the AI reads what that person can open and adds slides only where they may edit. The investor deck shared with the board stays with the board.
- Writing only with Edit access
- Admins choose which groups get Google Slides, and only groups with Edit access can create presentations or add slides. Each write is done as the person asking, after they confirm the content, and nobody is notified.
- Every call logged
- Who read which deck, who added which slide, when. Deployed OS shows reads and writes per connector and per person, the log can be exported, and access is revoked centrally the day someone leaves.

Google Slides’s own MCP server or Deployed OS?
Google runs its own remote MCP server for Slides, one of its Workspace MCP servers, available through the Google Workspace Developer Preview Program. A developer turns it on in a Google Cloud project and connects an AI client, which can then read a presentation and update it through the Slides API. For one person, or a developer building an agent, that is a good fit.
Deployed OS is built for the whole company: one connection for Google Slides and the rest of your tools, each person’s own login, admins choosing which groups may read and which may write, and a log of every call. The same connection works in Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot, next to your company’s skills and guardrails.
Google Slides MCP: common questions
Yes. Google has a remote MCP server for Slides in its Workspace Developer Preview Program, which a developer sets up in a Google Cloud project. Deployed OS gives the whole company one connection instead, with each person’s own login, access per group and a log of every call.
Only by adding. With Edit access it can create a new presentation in your own Drive, shared with nobody, or add a slide with a title, text and speaker notes at the end of a deck you may edit, when you ask and confirm the content. A new slide uses the standard title and body layout. It never edits, moves or deletes existing slides, adds images, shares a deck or notifies anyone. If you want it to do more, for example add images, we can extend it for you.
Your admin sets up Google Slides in Deployed OS once. You add your company’s Deployed OS connection in Claude, connect your own Google work account and start asking. The same connection works in ChatGPT and Copilot.
The Google Drive connector reads a presentation as one block of plain text, read-only. The Google Slides connector reads it slide by slide, with titles, tables, speaker notes and a link to each slide, and with Edit access can create presentations and add slides. You can turn on both.
Only the ones they can already open in Google Slides. The AI uses each person’s own Google account, so your sharing settings apply as they are, and a new presentation is shared with nobody until its owner shares it.
Deployed is an EU company and fully GDPR compliant, and you choose where your data is stored, down to the city. On-premises is possible too. Presentations are fetched from Google Slides when someone asks for them.
