Calendly MCP: connect Calendly to Claude and ChatGPT

Ask Claude or ChatGPT who booked a demo with you this week, what they wrote in the booking form, or when you’re free on Thursday. The answer comes straight from Calendly, before you join the call.

With Deployed OS everyone connects their own Calendly login. The AI sees that person’s event types, meetings and availability, and can create a booking link that works once. Nothing is booked, changed or cancelled.

In practice

What your team can do with Calendly in Claude and ChatGPT

Sales

Prep from the booking form

Who booked, from which company, and what they wrote under ‘What would you like to discuss?’. Read before you join, not in the first five minutes of the call.
Customer success

One link for one customer

Get a booking link that works for a single meeting and paste it into your email. Once the customer has booked, the link stops working.
Recruitment

Next week’s interviews at a glance

Every interview booked for next week, with each candidate’s answers to your booking questions, in one list before Monday.
Team leads

Find the free hour

Busy times from Calendly and your connected calendars, next to your working hours. Ask where the free hour is this week and get it in the right time zone.
Examples

Ask it like this

  • “Who has booked a meeting with me this week, and what did they write in the booking form?”

  • “Read tomorrow’s 10 o’clock demo and tell me what the person wants to talk about.”

  • “When am I free for an hour between Tuesday and Thursday?”

  • “Create a one-time booking link for my 30-minute intro call so I can send it to Karin at Lindqvist AB.”

  • “How many meetings were cancelled in September, and who cancelled them?”

  • “Which event types do I have, and how long is each one?”

The connector

What the Calendly MCP connector does today

  • Readscalendly_list_event_types

Lists your event types, the meetings people can book with you, with name, length in minutes and booking page.

  • Readscalendly_list_scheduled_events

Lists the meetings booked with you, soonest first, from now or a date you name, optionally only active or cancelled ones. Shows times, place or call link, hosts and how many booked.

  • Readscalendly_get_scheduled_event

Reads one booked meeting: times, place or call link, hosts, and who booked it with their answers to your booking questions.

  • Readscalendly_get_availability

Shows when you are busy in a window of up to 7 days, starting now or later, from Calendly and your connected calendars, next to your working hours, so free slots can be worked out.

  • Writescalendly_create_scheduling_link

Creates a booking link for one of your event types that works for a single booking. Nothing is sent: you get the link to share.

Security

Who sees what

Reads meetings, creates links
The connector reads your event types, booked meetings, invitees’ answers and availability, and creates single-use booking links. It never books, moves or cancels a meeting in Calendly.
Each person’s own Calendly
Everyone connects their own Calendly login, so the AI sees that person’s meetings and nobody else’s. Invitees’ cancel and reschedule links are never shown to the AI.
You choose who gets it
Admins decide which groups at the company can use the Calendly connector, and which of them may also create booking links. Everyone else never sees it.
Every call logged
Who asked, which connector, when. Deployed OS shows reads and writes per connector and per person, the log can be exported, and access is revoked centrally the day someone leaves.
Setup

Set up the Calendly connector in three steps

01
An admin creates an OAuth app of the kind Web in the Calendly developer portal and selects the read scopes plus the one for booking links. Your company owns the app, not us.
02
The admin adds the app’s Client ID and Client secret to Deployed OS and chooses which groups get Calendly.
03
Each person connects with their own Calendly login. From then on they ask about their meetings in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot.
Compared

Calendly’s own MCP server or Deployed OS?

Calendly runs its own MCP server, hosted at mcp.calendly.com. Each person signs in with their Calendly account and connects it to their AI assistant. For one person who wants Calendly in their chat, that is a good fit.

Deployed OS adds what a company needs: one connection for Calendly and the rest of your tools, each person’s own login, admins choosing which groups get what, and a log of every call. The same connection works in Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot, next to your company’s skills and guardrails.

Questions

Calendly MCP: common questions

Yes. Calendly hosts its own MCP server that one person can connect to their assistant. Deployed OS gives the whole company one connection instead, with each person’s own login, access per group and a log of every call.

No. It reads event types, booked meetings and availability, and creates booking links that work for one booking. It never books, reschedules or cancels anything, and the link is not sent to anyone: you share it. If you want it to do more, we can extend it for you.

Yes. For a booked meeting it reads who booked, their email and time zone, and their answers to your booking questions. That is usually the best prep you have before the call.

It sees when you are busy in the calendars you have connected to Calendly, not what those events are. For the events themselves, add the Google Calendar or Outlook connector.

Yes. Deployed OS is your company’s own MCP, so the same Calendly connection works in Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot. People keep the assistant they prefer.

It depends on the size of your team. Get in touch and we will walk you through it.
