Visma eEkonomi MCP: connect Visma eEkonomi to Claude and ChatGPT

Ask Claude or ChatGPT which customers are overdue, how much is left to pay on last month’s invoices or which supplier invoices are still open. The answer comes straight from Visma eEkonomi, the product sold outside Sweden as Visma eAccounting. No exports, no report hunting.

With Deployed OS everyone at the company connects with their own Visma login and picks the company. The AI sees what that person sees in Visma eEkonomi, and nothing is created, booked or sent.

Security

Who sees what

Read-only
The connector reads customers, customer invoices and supplier invoices. It cannot create, book or send anything in Visma eEkonomi.
Each person’s own Visma user
Everyone connects their own Visma user, so the AI sees what that user sees. Someone without access to supplier invoices in Visma gets none through the AI either.
You choose who gets it
Admins decide which groups at the company can use the Visma eEkonomi connector at all. Everyone else never sees it.
Every call logged
Who asked, which connector, when. Deployed OS shows reads per connector and per person, and the log can be exported.
Setup

Set up the Visma eEkonomi connector in three steps

01
An admin creates an app for eAccounting in the Visma Developer Portal and gives it the read-only scopes for sales and purchases. Your company owns the app, not us.
02
The admin adds the app’s client ID and client secret to Deployed OS and chooses which groups get Visma eEkonomi.
03
Each person connects with their own Visma login and chooses the company. From then on they just ask.
Compared

Visma eEkonomi’s own MCP server or Deployed OS?

Spiris, the company formerly called Visma Spcs, runs its own hosted MCP server for Bokföring & Fakturering, the new Swedish name for Visma eEkonomi. You sign in with OAuth, and it can create as well as read, for example invoices and suppliers. For one person or a developer who wants to try a Visma MCP in Claude, it is a good place to start.

Deployed OS is for when the whole company should use it. One company connection for all your tools, with each person on their own Visma login, admins choosing which groups get Visma eEkonomi, and a log of every call. The same connection works in Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot, next to your company’s skills and guardrails.

Questions

Visma eEkonomi MCP: common questions

Yes. Deployed OS is your company’s own MCP, so the same Visma eEkonomi connection works in Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot. People keep the assistant they prefer.

Yes. Your company creates its own app in the Visma Developer Portal, which gives the Visma eEkonomi integration its access to the API. If you have no developer access yet, you apply for it there. We walk you through the steps.

Yes. In Sweden, Visma Spcs became Spiris in 2025 and Visma eEkonomi was renamed Bokföring & Fakturering. The connector uses the same eAccounting API, so nothing changes for you.
