Teamtailor MCP: connect Teamtailor to Claude and ChatGPT

Ask Claude or ChatGPT how many candidates are in each stage for a role, what the notes on a candidate say or which jobs have had no new applications this month. The answer comes straight from Teamtailor, without clicking through every pipeline.

We build the connector for your company on Teamtailor’s own API. It only reads, your admins decide which groups may use it, and every call is logged. The AI summarises and finds; the people on the hiring team make the decisions.

In practice

What your team can do with Teamtailor in Claude and ChatGPT

Recruiters

The pipeline in one answer

How many candidates are in each stage for every open job, and which applications have been waiting longest. A summary before the weekly sync instead of a tour of the boards.

Which roles are close to an offer, so onboarding, equipment and desks can be planned in time.
Examples

Ask it like this

  • “Summarise the notes on Sara Lindqvist’s application for Backend Developer.”

  • “Which open jobs have had no new applications in the last two weeks?”

  • “List the applications for Account Executive that have been in the screening stage for more than ten days.”

  • “Which jobs in the Finance department are open right now, and who is the recruiter on each?”

  • “Give me a one-page overview of the candidates I am meeting for Product Designer on Thursday.”

The connector

What we build for Teamtailor

Deployed OS has no ready Teamtailor connector yet. We build it for your company when you start, on Teamtailor’s own API, with the same rules as every other connector: each person’s own login, access decided by group, every call logged.

Jobs
Open and closed jobs with their department, location, recruiter and status.
Candidates and applications
Candidates and their job applications, with the stage each application is in.
Stages
The stages of each job’s pipeline, so the AI can say how far each application has come.
Notes
The notes the hiring team has written on a candidate, for the groups you allow to see them.
Departments, locations and users
Your departments, locations and Teamtailor users, so questions can be asked per team, office or recruiter.
Security

Who sees what

Read-only
The connector reads. It does not move candidates between stages, reject anyone, write notes or send messages. We use a read-only API key.
Your company decides who sees candidates
Teamtailor’s API uses a company API key created by your Teamtailor admin, not each person’s own Teamtailor login. Access is set per group in Deployed OS and by the key’s scope, so you decide which groups may see candidates at all, for example only HR and recruiters.
Candidate data is personal data
Names, CVs and notes on candidates are personal data under GDPR. The connector only reads what someone asks for when they ask, and only for the groups you have allowed.
Every call logged
Who asked, what was read and when. Deployed OS keeps the log, and it can be exported.
Setup

Set up the Teamtailor connector in three steps

01
We go through which questions matter most with you, and which groups should see candidate data, and build the connector on Teamtailor’s API.
02
Your Teamtailor Company Admin creates a read-only API key with the scope the connector needs, and you choose which groups get Teamtailor in Deployed OS.
03
People in those groups connect Teamtailor in Claude or ChatGPT. From then on they just ask.
Compared

Teamtailor’s own MCP server or Deployed OS?

Teamtailor has its own MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients. Each person signs in with their own Teamtailor account, the account needs Teamtailor’s MCP add-on, and Company Admins choose per role whether the AI may read, create and modify, or delete. The AI can only do what both the person’s Teamtailor permissions and that level allow. If Teamtailor is the only system your team wants in its AI tool, it is a good fit.

Deployed OS is for when Teamtailor is one system among several. It sits next to your HR system, email, calendar and other tools in one company connection, admins decide which groups get each system, every call is logged in one place, and the same rules apply in Claude and ChatGPT, next to your company’s skills and guardrails.

Questions

Teamtailor MCP: common questions

Yes. Teamtailor has its own MCP server, where each person signs in with their Teamtailor account and admins set the access level per role. It needs Teamtailor’s MCP add-on. Deployed OS adds Teamtailor to one company connection with your other systems, with access per group and one log.

No. The connector we build reads jobs, candidates, applications, stages and notes. It does not move, reject or contact candidates, and we only build writing if you ask for it.

No. It summarises and finds what is already in Teamtailor, such as where an application stands or what the team has written. The people on the hiring team read the candidates and make every decision.

Not with the connector we build. Teamtailor’s API works with a company API key, so access is controlled per group in Deployed OS and by the key’s scope. Choose the groups that should see candidates, and keep the rest out.

Deployed is an EU company and fully GDPR compliant, and you choose where your data is stored, down to the city. Teamtailor data is fetched when someone asks for it.

It depends on the size of your team. Get in touch and we will walk you through it.
