Odoo MCP: connect Odoo to Claude and ChatGPT
Ask Claude or ChatGPT which quotations are still waiting for an answer, which invoices are overdue or how many of a product you have in stock. The answer comes straight from Odoo, without building a report or exporting a list first.
We build the connector for your company on Odoo’s own API. Each person connects their own Odoo user, so the AI sees exactly what that person may see in Odoo, and it only reads.

What your team can do with Odoo in Claude and ChatGPT
Know the pipeline before the meeting
Stock and deliveries in one question
What is overdue, and from whom
What is ordered and what has arrived
The month without a dashboard
Ask it like this
“Which quotations to Brandt Interiors have been open for more than two weeks?”
“What does our pipeline look like this quarter, by stage and salesperson?”
“How many units of the oak side table do we have in stock, and in which warehouse?”
“Which deliveries scheduled for this week are not ready yet?”
“Which customer invoices are more than 30 days overdue, and what is the total per customer?”
“Summarise our open purchase orders from Kessler Metalworks and what is still to arrive.”
“Draft a polite reminder to Harlow & Finch about invoice INV/2026/00412. I will send it myself.”
What we build for Odoo
Deployed OS has no ready Odoo connector yet. We build it for your company when you start, on Odoo’s own API, with the same rules as every other connector: each person’s own login, access decided by group, every call logged.
- CRM
- Leads and opportunities with their stage, expected revenue, salesperson and next activity.
- Sales
- Quotations and sales orders with their lines, customers, status and what has been delivered and invoiced.
- Inventory
- Products with their stock per warehouse and location, and incoming and outgoing transfers with their scheduled dates.
- Invoicing and accounting
- Customer invoices, vendor bills and payments with due dates and status, for the people whose Odoo role allows it.
- Purchase and manufacturing
- Purchase orders with what has been received, and manufacturing orders with their components and state.
Who sees what
- Read-only
- The connector reads. It does not confirm orders, validate transfers, post invoices or change a record. If you want it to write, we build that only when you ask.
- Each person’s own Odoo user
- Everyone connects with an API key from their own Odoo user. Odoo checks every call against that user’s access rights and record rules, so a salesperson who only sees their own pipeline in Odoo only sees that through the AI too.
- Your company decides who gets it
- Admins choose which groups get Odoo in Deployed OS. A group without access never sees the connector.
- Every call logged
- Who asked, what was read and when. Deployed OS keeps the log, and it can be exported.
Set up the Odoo connector in three steps
Odoo’s own MCP server or Deployed OS?
Odoo 20 comes with Odoo’s own MCP server, part of its AI app. You connect an AI tool to your database address with /mcp at the end and an API key created for MCP, and it works as the Odoo user who owns the key. Its tools that create or update records are off until an administrator turns them on. If Odoo is the only system your team wants in its AI tool, and you are on Odoo 20, it is a good fit.
Deployed OS is for when Odoo is one system among several, or you are on an earlier version. It sits next to your email, files and other tools in one company connection, admins decide which groups get each system, every call is logged in one place, and the same rules apply in Claude and ChatGPT, next to your company’s skills and guardrails.
Odoo MCP: common questions
Yes. Odoo 20 includes Odoo’s own MCP server as part of its AI app, and it runs as the Odoo user who owns the API key. There are also many community MCP servers for Odoo. Deployed OS adds Odoo to one company connection with your other systems, with access per group and one log.
No. The connector we build reads CRM, sales, inventory, invoicing, purchase and manufacturing. It does not confirm orders, post invoices or edit records, and we only build writing if you ask for it.
Yes. Everyone connects with an API key from their own Odoo user, and Odoo checks every call against that user’s access rights and record rules. The AI cannot see more than the person could in Odoo.
From Odoo 19 we use Odoo’s JSON-2 API. On earlier versions we use the older XML-RPC API, which Odoo has deprecated and plans to remove in Odoo 22. On Odoo Online, API access is part of the Custom plan, not One App Free or Standard.
Deployed is an EU company and fully GDPR compliant, and you choose where your data is stored, down to the city. Odoo data is fetched when someone asks for it.
