HubSpot MCP: connect HubSpot to Claude and ChatGPT

Ask Claude or ChatGPT which deals are stuck in negotiation, who owns Acme Ltd or what the last note on them says. The answer comes straight from your HubSpot CRM: contacts, companies, deals, pipelines and notes.

With Deployed OS everyone connects with their own HubSpot login. The AI sees the records that person can see, and the only thing it can add is a note, when you ask for one.

In practice

What your team can do with HubSpot in Claude and ChatGPT

Sales

Know the contact before you dial

The contact, their company, the open deals and the ten latest notes, in one answer. Ask a follow-up and the AI reads the record again.
Sales management

The pipeline before the Monday meeting

Deals per stage with amount, close date and the owner’s name instead of an id. See what has slipped past its close date and who owns it.
Account management

Notes where the team can find them

After the customer meeting, paste your notes, check the wording and the AI adds them to the company in HubSpot, as you. The next person who asks finds them.
Marketing

Is this lead already ours?

Paste ten names from an event list and see which are already in HubSpot, their lifecycle stage and who owns them.
Examples

Ask it like this

  • “Which deals in the sales pipeline are in Contract sent, and what are they worth in total?”

  • “Pull up Acme Ltd: who are our contacts there, which deals are open and what do the latest notes say?”

  • “Who owns the Northwind renewal, and when is it set to close?”

  • “Show the 20 most recently changed deals with owner, stage and amount.”

  • “Is anna.berg@nordlys.com already in HubSpot? Which lifecycle stage is she in?”

  • “Add a note to the Northwind deal: Call on 14 October, budget approved, they want to start in January.”

The connector

What the HubSpot MCP connector does today

  • Readshubspot_search_contacts

Searches the contacts you can see by name, email or company: up to 50, with phone, title, lifecycle stage and owner.

  • Readshubspot_search_companies

Searches the companies you can see by name or domain: up to 50, with industry, location, size and owner.

  • Readshubspot_search_deals

Finds deals by name, pipeline or stage, or the most recently changed ones: up to 50, with amount, stage, close date and owner.

  • Readshubspot_get_record

Reads one contact, company or deal: its properties, up to 10 linked contacts, companies and deals, its 10 latest notes and a link.

  • Readshubspot_list_pipelines

Lists the deal pipelines and their stages, with whether each stage is closed and its win probability.

  • Readshubspot_list_owners

Lists the owners that records and deals are assigned to, with name and email, so owner ids read as people.

  • Writeshubspot_create_note

Adds a note to a contact, company or deal as you, once you have confirmed the text. Nobody is notified and nothing else changes.

Security

Who sees what

Reads the CRM, adds notes
The connector reads contacts, companies, deals, pipelines, owners and notes. The one thing it can write is a note on a contact, company or deal, and only for people with Edit access.
Each person’s own HubSpot user
Everyone connects their own HubSpot login, so the AI searches and reads the records that user can see, and a note it adds is added as them.
You choose who gets it
Admins decide which groups get the HubSpot connector, and which of those may add notes. Everyone else never sees it.
Every call logged
Who asked, which connector, when. Deployed OS shows reads and writes per connector and per person, and the log can be exported.
Setup

Set up the HubSpot connector in three steps

01
An admin creates an app at developers.hubspot.com (a developer account is free) and adds the redirect URL and scopes Deployed OS gives you on its Auth tab. Your company owns the app, not us.
02
The admin adds the app’s Client ID and Client secret to Deployed OS, enters eu1 if your HubSpot account is hosted in the EU, and chooses which groups get HubSpot.
03
Each person connects with their own HubSpot login. From then on they just ask.
Compared

HubSpot’s own MCP server or Deployed OS?

HubSpot runs its own MCP server, hosted by HubSpot and generally available since April 2026. You create an MCP auth app in HubSpot and connect an AI tool that supports OAuth to it, and it reads and writes a wide range of CRM records. For one person or a developer who wants HubSpot in their AI tool, it is a good fit.

Deployed OS is for the whole company. HubSpot is one connection next to your other tools, each person is on their own login, admins choose which groups get HubSpot and who may write, and every call is logged. The same connection works in Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot, next to your company’s skills and guardrails.

Questions

HubSpot MCP: common questions

Yes. HubSpot runs its own MCP server, and it works well for one person or a developer. Deployed OS gives the whole company one HubSpot connection, with each person’s own login, access per group and a log of every call.

It can add a note to a contact, company or deal, as the person asking, once they have confirmed the text. Nobody is notified and nothing else on the record changes. It cannot edit properties, move deals or delete anything. If you need more, for example creating tasks, we can extend it for you.

Yes. Deployed OS is your company’s own MCP, so the same HubSpot connection works in Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot. People keep the assistant they prefer.

Yes. The admin enters eu1 as the region when adding the app, and HubSpot keeps every call in the EU. Deployed is an EU company too, fully GDPR compliant, and you choose where your data is stored, down to the city.

Yes, to create the app. It is free at developers.hubspot.com, and we walk you through the steps. People who connect only need their normal HubSpot login.

It depends on the size of your team. Get in touch and we will walk you through it.
