Close CRM MCP: connect Close to Claude and ChatGPT
Ask Claude or ChatGPT what was said on the last call with Brightwater Foods, which opportunities in the New Business pipeline close this month or what’s waiting in your Close inbox. The answer comes straight from Close, with a link to each lead.
With Deployed OS every rep connects with their own Close login. The AI sees the leads they can see, and the only things it writes are notes and the rep’s own tasks, when they ask.

What the Close CRM MCP connector does today
- Reads
close_searchSearch the leads (companies) and contacts you can see by words in their names, emails and other text fields. Returns up to 25 of each, with a link to the lead.
- Reads
close_get_leadRead one lead: its status, custom fields, contacts, opportunities and open tasks, and its latest 20 notes, emails, calls, meetings and texts, newest first. Files come by name only.
- Reads
close_list_opportunitiesList opportunities, latest change first: the active ones, or won, lost or all; only yours, or one lead’s. Up to 50, with value, status, pipeline, owner and close date.
- Reads
close_list_pipelinesList the opportunity pipelines with their statuses, and whether each status counts as active, won or lost.
- Reads
close_list_tasksList your own open tasks: those due today or earlier first, then the coming ones, each with its lead and link.
- Writes
close_create_noteAdd a plain-text note to one lead, as you, optionally with a title and about one of its contacts, once you have confirmed the text. Nobody is mentioned or notified, and nothing else on the lead changes.
- Writes
close_create_taskCreate a task on one lead, assigned to you and never to anyone else, due on the date or at the time you give, or today so it shows in your Close inbox. Nobody is emailed.
Need it to do more? We extend connectors for the companies that use them.
Who sees what
- Reads, plus notes and your tasks
- The connector reads leads, contacts, opportunities, pipelines and the activity on each lead, and can add a note or create a task for you. It sends no email, text or call, enrols nobody in a workflow and edits no lead or opportunity.
- Each rep’s own rights
- Everyone connects their own Close login. Leads a rep can’t see in Close stay hidden from the AI as well.
- Writes only with Edit access
- Admins choose which groups get Close, and only groups with Edit access can add notes and tasks. Notes are written as the rep asking and tasks are assigned only to them, both after they confirm the text.
- Every call logged
- Who asked, which connector, when. Deployed OS shows reads and writes per connector and per person, and the log can be exported.
Set up the Close CRM connector in three steps
Close CRM’s own MCP server or Deployed OS?
Close runs its own hosted MCP server, listed in Claude’s connector directory and available as a ChatGPT app. You sign in with OAuth and choose read-only access, read and write, or read, write and delete. Besides reading leads and contacts, it can search activities, count calls and emails, and fetch a call with its transcript where there is one. For one rep who wants Close in Claude or ChatGPT, it is a good fit.
Deployed OS is for when the whole company should use it. One company connection for Close and all your other tools, with each rep on their own login, admins choosing which groups get Close and which of them may write, and a log of every call in one place. The same connection works in Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot, next to your company’s skills and guardrails.
Close CRM MCP: common questions
Yes. Close has its own MCP server, and it suits one rep well. Deployed OS gives the whole company one connection for Close and your other tools, with each person’s own login, access per group and a log of every call.
Two things: it can add a plain-text note to a lead and create a task assigned to you, when you ask and confirm the text. Nobody is mentioned or emailed, no email, text or call goes out, and no lead or opportunity is edited. If you want it to do more, for example update an opportunity’s status, we can extend it for you.
Close gives every OAuth app the same full access to what the person can do in Close, so its sign-in screen says so. The connector itself only reads, and writes notes and your own tasks for groups with Edit access. Every call is logged in Deployed OS.
Your admin sets up Close in Deployed OS once. You add your company’s Deployed OS connection in Claude, sign in to Close with your own login and start asking. The same connection works in ChatGPT and Copilot.
Only if they can in Close. The AI uses each person’s own Close login, so the visibility and permissions you have set in Close apply as they are.
Deployed is an EU company and fully GDPR compliant, and you choose where your data is stored, down to the city. Close data is fetched when someone asks for it.
